Today students got an opportunity to sit at the computers and try their hand at Java. I think many were surprised by how tricky getting syntax just right could be. Talking to a computer is not like talking to a person — there’s no room for statements needing interpretation! Despite the many compiler errors, it seemed like a pretty fun day.

WHEN: February 4th 2012, starts 9am.
COST: $15/student or $30/team (1-3 students), registration due Monday, 30th January
The contest brings together talented students from high schools throughout the state of Washington to compete in a spirit of fun. The contest will test their programming skills and problem solving ability.
